Video HowTo: Customize Fluent Ribbon UI in Outlook 2007 Inspectors (VSTO)

Most Office 2007 applications have the Fluent Ribbon UI. Today we will have a look at the most frequently used methods of modifying this part of user interface and we'll take Outlook 2007 Inspectors as an example.

So, the first and the easiest method is creating or adding your own ribbon tab. This way you'll be able to fill it with your own controls and put some native Ribbon elements like groups, buttons, etc onto your ribbon tab. The second option is adding your controls to the existing ribbon tab. And yet another option, which we don't demonstrate in this video HowTo, is hiding all the standard ribbon tabs and showing the user only your own ones.
