Video: Add-in Express Regions for Outlook and VSTO

A couple of weeks ago Eric Legault made mention of the new Add-in Express product known as Add-in Express Regions for Outlook and VSTO. I’ve had the pleasure of working with this new product for several weeks and I think it is a winner.

Outlook is by far the most popular target of Office developers. The Visual Studio Tools for Office (VSTO) framework provided by Visual Studio gives developers the ability to build .NET-based solutions that incorporate form regions and other UI customizations. Add-in Express gives you even more capabilities through its Advanced Outlook Form and View Regions, which allow you to display your custom form regions in sections of Outlook’s Explorer and Inspector windows not supported out-of-the-box by Microsoft.

This video is a “less than 15 minute” introduction to Add-in Express Regions for Outlook and VSTO. I think it does a fine job of explaining the product as well as showing how quickly you can become productive utilizing it in your VSTO-based Outlook solutions.
