Video HowTo: Customize Outlook Inspector menu (VSTO)

We continue the series of short video HowTo samples that focus on various ways of customizing the Outlook user interface. Today we are going to look into the main menu of Outlook 2003 Inspector.  If you develop in VB.NET, here is a similar VB.NET video sample.

In a minute you will learn how to:

  • Add a new menu item to the Outlook Inspector main menu and populate it with native Office controls.
  • Add a custom button to the Help menu item.
  • Add your own buttons to the File -> New menu item and define their positions.

This sample video was captured in Visual Studio 2008 (VB.NET) with Add-in Express 2009 for Office and VSTO.
