Hi Team,
I am not able to install the Add-in express(adxnet-v904-b4644-vs-std).
I am getting error while running the SetUp,
The installer was interrupted before Addin Express for DotNet. Please restart the installer.
Kindly help me with this issue. |

Hello Priya,
Make sure you start the installer by starting setup.exe, not the .MSI file.
If the installer closes almost immediately, this may be caused by VS 2022 which is (or was previously) installed on that machine. VS 2022 breaks backward compatibility and in this don’t let our old installers to work. Uninstalling VS 2022 doesn’t help, so you have a choice: 1) reinstall Windows and install required VS versions except for VS 2022, or 2) install Add-in Express 10.1. I also have an unconfirmed message that after uninstalling VS 2022, it helps to reinstall previous VS versions in the order in which they were released.

Hi Andrei,
I started Setup.exe only. I have this installed fine in the client's VDI where I have VS 2017 and Excel (Office 365 version 2202).
Now I am trying this in my local laptop. I have installed VS 2017 and Excel(O365 Version 2306). The installer immediately gives the message and stops.
Our KT giver mentioned the Add-in Express version as 9.4 as I mentioned in my previous comment. I am not sure if installing 10.1 will cause any issue to my project.

Hi,
I tried installing 10 version as well. But the same error am getting. Formatting the system is a tedious process(I need to back data and reinstall all other required process)
Is there some setting which is causing this issue.
I had VS 2017 and 2019.I had uninstalled both. The add-in express installer was not throwing that error. But we need a VS to be there right to complete the installation.
Then I installed VS2017 only. I am getting the error.
If you could give some hint, it would be good.

10.1 or 10.2 please. 10.1 has this line in its whatsnew; see https://www.add-in-express.com/add-in-net/history.php:
Installation failed if Visual Studio 2022 was installed.
