How to create an item in the Sent Items folder?

How to create an item in the Sent Items folder?

I?Â?Ð?éve been trying some code to copy mail items to the Sent Items folder. I?Â?Ð?ém able to create the new item in the folder, but the ?Â?Ð?ìSentOn?Â?Ð?í and ?Â?Ð?ìSent?Â?Ð?í properties of these new items are not set giving the users the impression that they should send those items.

Do you know of a way to set the ?Â?Ð?ìSentOn?Â?Ð?í value?

Um, are you trying to create and send a message? Just copying an item into Sent Items won't cause it to actually be sent. The Sent & SentOn properties are read-only. You don't set them, Outlook sets them when it sends the message.

I agree with Brad. These properties are set by Outlook while it sends messages.
