No data in Text property until <ENTER> key is pressed

As described, there is no value for the text property until the user enters the ENTER key. Of course, this is counter-intuitive. Is this a known issue and is there a known fix?

This is a known design flaw in Outlook. I've discussed this with the Outlook team myself when I first discovered the problem, and their response was that this was "as designed". I experimented with a few potential workarounds, but didn't get anywhere. I agree that it's pretty bogus. :-(

Hi Chris.

I agree with Brad. Unfortunately this is the design feature of Outlook.
