Hi,

what could be the reason for a CPU usage of 99% for devenv.exe when I register or unregister our addin? The same happens when disabling the addin from inside PowerPoint. Then Powerpoint's exe has 99%.

Thanks,
Tobi

Ok, I kind of found out.
I must have destroyed my AddInModule.cs by manually moving items in my ribbon.
Even though the code looked all right, undoing pending changes did the trick and now everything works fine again.

Is there any explanation for this, so that I can prevent that in the future?

Thanks,
Tobi

Hi Tobi,

Sorry, I don't understand what you did with the items.

I think the problem was that when I went to the designer and started editing controls in the ribbon I moved them around with the mouse. After that the above mentioned happened. Undoing these things made it work again.

Hi Tobi,

I don't think this could be the cause of the problem. But I'd like to be sure. Can you send me your add-in module with those changes and whithout them, please?
