I want to have a form appear when the user first loads my add-in (a welcome screen) - the same add-in is used across Outlook and Word.

I current show the form in AddinModule_AddinStartupComplete, however if I have word set as the email editor, it shows the form twice (once with Outlook as the HostName and once with Word).

How can I stop this?

Hi Ian,

When the add-in is loaded by Word, try checking WordApp.Visible; if it is false, don't show your form.
