Hi Sergey

Now that VS 2005 and Framework 2.0 have been released I wonder if there is any news on a timeframe for a VS2005 release of Add-in Express 2. I have tried the Add-in Express beta on the released version of VS2005 and it seams to work just fine - except for setup project. Any change of getting an example/walkthrough for doing the setup project in VS 2005?

However I don?Â?Ð?ét want to deploy my add-in based on a beta version so I?Â?Ð?ém quit interested in when you will release the new version.

I could of cause use VS 2003 but the PC?Â?Ð?és in my company will soon be equipped with the new framework 2 and I as fare as I know this will make my add-in stop working.

Best regards

Christian

Hi Christian.

We have already downloaded VS 2005 release and I am going to test ADX during the week. I will let you know about results ASAP.

Hi Sergey

That sounds fine ?Â?Ð?ã I wonder if you could give me a hint on my setup project. I assume that the Shimproject output should have a ComSelfReg but as fare as I can see you don?Â?Ð?ét make any other ?Â?Ð?ìregs?Â?Ð?í in the VS 2003 setup project.

However there must be something missing because I can?Â?Ð?ét even make a usable setup for the tutorial application addin.

Thank in advance

Yes, correct. The Shim project output should have the ComSelfReg attribute in the VS setup project. All remaining work will be implemented by ADX in the Custom Actions. Please check the setup project.
The setup project should have the Install, Rollback, Unistall custom actions with the same parameter. The parameter is /Addin="[TARGETDIR]\<the add-in assembly name>.dll" .
