Dear coders of WordAddIn.
I created an addin for word 2000 operating on windows 2000. While word is initializing my word plug in is initializing as well.

Unfortunately something is trying to access <http://www.verisign.com/>;. Our proxy isn't open for anonymous internet access. The word plug tries to access this internet adress and waits for timeout which is 20 seconds. (Our users hates us for that!) Most probabliy a certificate is validating.

How can we avoid the certificate is accessing the internet.

Dear Andrei,
thank you for your valuable answer. Who's certificate is checked? We didn't sign our addin. Without addin we don't have this problem. Did you sign your addin? If yes for which reason?

Hello Ren?,

We sign our DLLs so that our users know where the DLLs came from and that the DLLs weren't tampered with since their publication.
