I created a Project using Add-in Express 2008 and VS 2005 for Outlook. I created the project for Outlook 2007. I then changed recreated the same project and switched my references for Outlook 2003. But with 2003 I am unable to register my project. I keep on getting the error Cannot Register assembly %TheDLL% Exception has been thrown by the target of invocation. I tried creating a brand new project and with nothing in it except for a ribbon control and no event handlers with it and I still get this same error. Not sure why I cannot register. The only thing I have changed from the basic project in my test project is I deleted the Interop.Office reference that is auto generated with the project and replaced it with the VS2008 Microsoft.Iterop.Office.Outlook reference as this. This worked fine with the 2007 project.

Hello David,

Could you send the project to the support email address? You can find the address in the readme.txt file in the Add-in Express installation folder.
