I just downloaded add-in-express basic and tried to compile and run the example (MyFirstRTDServer) provided for RTD Server.

It compiles fine. I "Registed ADX project" (just to be sure) and ran the excel sample. nothing happens and excel just shows #N/A.

I bought this tool because I urgently needed to delivery (tonight) a small RTD Server working. but this is not helping me..

this frustrate me a lot.. when you follow perfectly the samples, things should work immediatelly.

1. I downloaded and installed the updated
2. I checked if this pre-requisire was there (on the sample project). it was
3. I ran the setup (understanding that running setup will force an update of Office programs)
4. I opened excel but it didn't worked yet...

any other idea?

does the example work now if you register it in Visual Studio?

No. I tried registering in VS (right click on project, Register ADX project) and also installing but the =RTD call keep return #N/A

I built the setup (including hotfix as prerequisite) and I tried to run on another computer with Excel 2002 (10.2614.3501) SP-1 (same version as my own development machine).

didn't worked too..

Hi Alexandre.

I have just tested a simple RTD server in Excel XP (10.6501.6626) SP3.
It works. Please install SP3 for Office XP and try again.

I'm now on an Excel 2002 (10.6501.6626) SP3

After that, I did:

1. build MyFirstRTDServer
2. Register ADX Project
3. Opened TestBook.xls
4. cell keeps showing #N/A

Now, this is the main objective of my life to solve this!!

any other idea?
