color resolution in outlook toolbar

color resolution in outlook toolbar
what color resolution is recommended?

To get my (png) icons to display properly, I have used the transparency setting on the toolbar controls, and this works, but it looks as if the color resolution in the outlook toolbars are less than 32bit, because the images gets a bluish outline (not the blue background you see when you forget to set transparencey).

Is there a recommend image color resolution to use? 24 bit 16 bit ? 8 bit ?

Hi Mike.

I recommend 8 bit for Office 2000-2003 and 8-32 bits for Office 2007 (for the Ribbon UI).
