Hello,

We've been using the WindowObj from the task pane to retrieve the Workbook associated witht the task pane as described here: https://www.add-in-express.com/forum/read.php?FID=5&TID=15662

This was working, but suddenly we are getting null value when accessing it from ADXBeforeTaskPaneShow when the workbook is opening.

Did something change? Is it because the workbook is still opening? In that case, how do we get the workbook reference so we can display the content properly once everything is opened?

Hello Pierre,

Our guys have explained me that the WindowObj may not be available in that event, too. In this case, you need to try to get it later, after a certain time, say, 100 ms.

Is this still considered the best way to get the workbook to which a pane is attached?
