Problem using Infragistitics with Toolbars Controls .NET

I have just purchased Toolbars .NET to enable the embedding of some third-party controls (Infragistics) into the Outlook toolbar.

However, when the application runs the control is not present (or is invisible), but there is a gap on the menu bar where the control should be.

A standard Winform control (e.g. combobox) works fine - although it uses standard theming (is there a way to theme this)?

Have you encountered this problem before?

Environment:

Toolbar Controls .NET for Microsoft Office v1.0
ADX Extensions .NET for Outlook v1.4
Add-in Express .NET 2.7
MSOffice 2003
VS2005
C# 2.0

Hi Paul,

We tested Infragistics controls with our product. Which of their controls are you trying to use?

Hi Dmitry,

I have tried several, including CombBox, Drop Down Calculator, Text Editor, ProgressBar and Drop Down Date Time.

I am using Infragistics latest release, NetAdvantage 6.2.

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Paul,

Did you add the ADXOutlookControlAdapter component to your add-in module? See the Toolbar Controls for Microsoft Office tab in the VS toolbox.

Hi Dmitry,

The ADXOutlookControlAdapter was added to the add-in module as per documentation. As I mentioned, standard Winform objects (such as the built-in Winform combobox) appear OK.

However, any Infragistic control does not appear, although it looks like it is being added to the menu as there is a gap on the toolbar where the control should appear. I have not tried with other third-party objects, such as Janus, as we use Ingfragistics only.

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Paul,

Sorry, it was my fault. I tested Infragistics controls using the standard .NET UserControl component. Please contact me directly by email, I will try to fix the issue.
