Hi,
we recently encountered random Outlook 2016 crashes. One second before the crash occurs, one will find the following event error message within the Windows 10 Event Log (Event ID 10016).
The machine-default permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
{9BA05972-F6A8-11CF-A442-00A0C90A8F39}
and APPID
{9BA05972-F6A8-11CF-A442-00A0C90A8F39}
to the user ######\###### SID (S-1-12-1-4215268236-1337726422-1074714014-2338019535) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.
The CLSID seems to be related to the Windows shell.
The error is followed by a warning when outlook restarts. The warning states that our addin is disabled because it caused a crash.
Does anybody experience the same problem?
Kind regards,
