Long delay when dropping an email attachment to custom folder

I drag and drop an email attachment file to a custom folder. The ProcessItemChange function brings up a custom dialog. The problem is that it takes a minimum of 6 seconds for the ProcessItemChange to fire, and I've seen it take upwards of 30 seconds.

Hello Steve,

This event is fired by the message store provider. I don't see a way to speed up the things.

Hello Steve,

I don't think such a way exists unless you save a huge attachment.
