I am extracting data from various items to an SQL Database based on outlookEntryID and matching the items based on outlookEntryID, I have now noticed that if I move anything to another folder the OutlookEntryID changes.

Is it possible to give an item in outlook a unique identifier?

You can add a UserProperty to the item.
