how to keep text in?

I have a control
Private WithEvents txtContr As Office.CommandBarComboBox.

When I type in something in the box and don't tab, the text is gone.
Is there any way to prevent this?
I need the text to be there in my text box.

???????.

This is a "feature" "added" by MS guys to command bar controls. There is no way to avoid this problem.

Besides, you can try to reproduce the same with any built-in control. With "Zoom" for example.
