Excel Task Pane of the Addin developed using add-in-express template is not shown in Excel 2003 running in Win 7 64 bit.

Hi,

We are using Add-In-Express for .NET version 6.5.3057.0. We are developing an add-in for excel.
In our add-in, we have a simple task pane to be shown in the right corner of the excel. In this task pane, a WPF control is embedded. WPF version is 4. This task pane shown correctly in Excel 2007/10 (both 64 and 32 bit) and Excel 2003 32 bit but it's shown as empty in the Excel 2003 64 bit.

We can see the region of task pane but whole region is gray, no content at all. Please see the snapshot: http://screencast.com/t/MiIPfkhM

This issue has been tested only in Win 7, so we do not know yet if this is true for XP too.

Could some tweaks be done in add-in-express side or might it be some trouble with WPF ?

As far as I know there is no Excel 2003 x64. Microsoft introduced the x64 version of Office starting from Office 2010.

Anyway, are you able to reproduce the issue with a newly created add-in project? If so, could you please send it to the support e-mail address (see readme.txt for details) for testing?

Hi,

Sorry for the confusion... I mean the Excel 2003 installed on Windows 7 64 bit OS. The Excel 2003 runs fine - only trouble is with the Task Pane.

P.S. Is this scenario supported by Add-in-Express ? Do you think it's a valid test case?
