I'm in the process of streamlining the install of the addon that I have created.
In the Preferences under Publish ADX Project there is an option to "Show warning if host application(s) is running". What exactly is the purpose of this and what would happen if the installer didn't display a warning at all? Does the installer simply wait until IE is shut down and then proceed with the install? I'm installing in quiet mode to minimize the number of clicks a user needs to make if that makes a difference.
I could of course simply try see what happens, but I'd like to know what the mechanism and logic behind this is. |

Hi Jyry,
If the user installs the add-on for the first time, the warning is not displayed at all.
But if the add-on is updated via ClickTwice, the update process will continue after the user closes all instances of IE. If you disable this warning, some files may not be updated because they are blocked by IE. |
