Office 2010 64 bit compatibility from delphi 2007 office 32 but development machine ?
Given my setup is it possible to create an add-in that can be used in Office 2010 64 bit ?

Hi,

I develop an Excel add-in using Delphi 2007 and add-in-express 2010. My machine has office 32 bit installed.

Given this setup is it possible to create an add-in that can be installed on a customer machine running Windows 7 64bit with Office 64 bit ?

Obviously I can't make a 64 bit add-in, but is it possible to make a 32 bit add-in that the customer can still install and use ?

Hi Sam,

It is impossible. Office 2010 x64 cannot load 32-bit add-ins. Please see http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee691831.aspx#odc_office2010_Compatibility32bit64bit_ActiveXControlCOMAddinCompatibility MSDN article for details.
