OK, I have two addins, both add right panes to contact explorers.

If I go to a contact folder then hide my addins using the smart splitter, then go to another folder, contact or otherwise, I get the error:

xxxxxxxx error: the add-in has fired an exception.
Cannot Focus a disabled or invisible window

I think this has to do with the focus problem that I helped identify last week with the keyboard shortcuts CTRL+SHIFT+M and your latest fix.
