Hi

I have successfully setup my PC with C: with XP, VS2003 and Add-in-express and OSM 1.5 this working great with secman.dll being installed to:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Outlook Security Manager

I have now installed F: as XP, VS2005 and Add-in-express which works fine but I have now just tried to install OSM 1.5 and it fails with message:

"The Secman.dll file is not found in the 'Common Files' folder.

It has actually been put in@

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Outlook Security Manager
rather than:
F:\Program Files\Common Files\Outlook Security Manager

I think their is a problem with the installer ?

Hi Matt.

I haven't faced this issue so far but I will check it.
Do you have Windows Installer 3.1 installed on your PC?

Hi Matt.

All points to the fact that you have a wrong activation key in the system registry. Did you come through all steps of the registration process when installing Outlook Security Manager for VS 2005?

Hi

Had a previous 1.4 version installed on my laptop, desktop 2005 and desktop VS2005. I uninstalled all and then re-installed in the above order. Automatic registration worked for them all.

Can I clear the registry and try a clean install ?

Hi

I just got the RTFM award for today, when I run the installer I did not look at the default folder path its:

C:\Program Files\Outlook Security Manager .NET\

I was to hasty at clicking next, next.

Would be nice if it defaulted to the current OS installation drive but not a big issue.

All resolved :D
