Hello.
My Setup Project is created with Setup.txt reading. Step by step.
VS 2005, Office 2003. ADX Release 2.3 Build 1754. I build a sample AddIn (MyFirstAddin) and its Setup project.

1.Destination machine has no installed Office.dll 7.0 in GAC
2.Try to Install this Addin

But it fails with "Could not load file or assembly 'Office, Version=7.0.3300.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."
If I press "continue" (not cancel) "installation successful" message appeares and Office.dll(7.0) is registered in GAC.

What is the problem?

Hi Constantin.

Do you have Office.dll (v7.0.3300.0) included in the Application folder of the setup project? if you have both Office.dll v7.0 and v11.0 in the application folder, you should exclude v11.0 and place it to the GAC folder.

Hi Sergey. I'm trying to install the sample solution "MyFirstAddIn" you provide.

There is no Office.dll v 11.0
This is strange that it fails but missing components are registered in GAC
if do not cancel the installation and click "Continue" on error screen. The second installation completed successfully.

Strange, I have tested it again. It works.

I have just sent you a test project. Could you please test it on your PC?
