Hi,

RTF Body of mail item is not exposed in Outlook object model.
Can it be retrieved using Extended MAPI?
If yes, how?

Regards,
Serhat.

Hi Serhat.

You need to use the PR_RTF_COMPRESSED property instead of the PR_BODY one to get the Rich Text Format version of the message text via Extended MAPI.
You can use our ADX Toys for Outlook to learn how we use Extended MAPI to retrieve the body.

Great!

One more thing, will that produce security warning on Outlook 2002?

Thank you very much.
Serhat.

I am updating the previous quiestion.

Not only for RTF but for any body type, would Outlook 2002 produce a security warning?

Thanks again.

Sorry for the mess, you dont need to answer above. We have decided to purchase the Security manager with Koray. I guess that will solve the problem.

Thanks.

Hi Serhat.

Sorry for delay. We are on vacation till January, 10th.

You just need to run our ADX Toys for Outlook. It shows how you can obtain the Plain and HTML versions of the message text without any security warnings.
