Hi
I'm running .Net 2003 and trying to install the Net Add-in 2.0 but getting the following error:
An exceptionn occured in the OnAfterInstall event handler of AddinExpress.Wizard.ADXWizardInstaller. -> Add-in Express library is not registered!
Does anybody have any ideas what is wrong.
Thanks

Hi Matt,
Do you have the previous build of ADX.NET installed on your PC? |

Matt,
Our developers seem to change an activation scheme. Please delete the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AfalinaSoft\ADX2Net key from the registry and install ADX.NET anew.
Have installed? |

Hi
Not its a competely new machine. I have installed the ADX.NET tools correctly on my laptop and that works find but I need to put them on my work build machine.
I have also deleted the key and not luck I am afraid the same issue.
My .Net install is at default location: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003
But the plugin appears to be trying to register: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET\Common7\IDE\PublicAssembliesthx
I.E. its missing the 2003 part on the end of my .net directory.
thx

Matt,
We have tried several times to reproduce your situation but cannot get this error.
Could you please tell me what values is shown by regedit within this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\VisualStudio\7.1\AssemblyFolders\PublicAssemblies

The registry value on both my working and non-installable machine are:
E:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003\Common7\IDE\PublicAssemblies
I am just running a registry compare utility between both machines to see if there is any different.

Just compared all the registry keys on both machines they are the same apart from the Afalina software keys. Very odd. I have tried this on two machines now with no luck:
XP OEM Dell SP1
Office 2003
Microsoft .Net 2003 with Framework 1.1
All windows updates applied.

Any chance of letting me know how to install manually as this is holding up my project. I have the code working at home on a machine but cannot build at the office and deploy etc.

Good evening Matt,
Our working day is over six hours ago :-) Please give me your ICQ or Messenger (via e-mail). We will flag you tomorrow. What is your time zone? |

Hi
Yeah I was not expecting out of hours support. As I cannot install at work I am working evenings at home at the moment and though I would ge the postings done. I am afraid our firewall does not allow and ICQ or messenger in and out of our company. I am currently re-installing my machine at work with a mirror of what I have working at home I.E:
C: a working XP for e-mail etc
D: Data
F: Dev XP with .Net and Addin express working
G: a working XP for gaming
At the office I have all installed to C: and it will not install even though the registry appears to be identical.
I am also only going to put on XP and Office and .Net and then install the add-in not going to install any other software.
I will let you know how I get on.
