I am interested in using this control to be able to access outlook inbox using a windows service. Would this library work if it was run as a service?

In windows services Outlook Security Manager will work either with CDO (Collaboration Data Object) or Simple MAPI. The Outlook Object Model is unsuitable for use from an application designed to be run as, or spawned by, an Windows NT service.
