Uninstallation issue with Excel add-in

I have a problem with uninstalling the add-in for Excel. The menu options still appear. I have tried the following;

1) deleting the entries in the Registry

2) Searched the registry looking for my add-in class - I couldn't find any instances anyway, after uninstalling.

There is no hung version on Excel in the Task manager also. Any help appreciated
