It appears that I cannot register an add-in, since VB2005 Express does not have a menu item "Register Add-in Express Project" on the Build menu. Is this, in fact, a limitation that I cannot work around? Does this mean I need to purchase an IDE that supports the registering of add-ins?

In C# Express and VB.NET Express you can find the 'Register ADX Project' option in the context menu of the addinmodule.
