I'm trying to create a MapPoint add in as a learning example. I added a CommandBar as per the directions, though when I read about the control scanner it says that Mappoint doesn't have a CommandBar collection.

So, is there an alternative method? The point is the Command bar doesn't show up when I start Mappoint, it shows up in the list of Com Addins but doesn't show anything.

Hi Julia,

MapPoint realy doesn't contain a command bar collection. You can add your controls in the menu Tool only.

Ok, not to sound dense, but I had a hard time finding an example of that. Can you point me to one, please.

Hi Julia,

Unfortunately, our MapPoint CD went into pieces in cd-drive. We have ordered another copy of MapPoint but it will be available by the end of the week.

No, Map Point requires a special public method of the implemented COM interface. We will try to prepare for you a sample, but we will not be able to check it.
