What's the problem when my Add-In will load only when I'm running in Visual Studio, but not when I shut down VS and install using the setup program? When I use the COM Add-Ins button, I see that that my Add-In is in the list but not checked. I try checking it but nothing happens and my Add-In isn't under View > Toolbars like it should be. When I go back to COM Add-Ins mine is unchecked again.

Hi Kevin.

Did you unregister the add-in in VS before you install it via the msi installer? What version of VS do you use?

P.S. Note that we take up your forum requests in the order we receive them.
Besides, it may take us some time to investigate your issue. Please be sure we will let you know as soon as the best possible solution is found.

Yes and no. I've tried it both ways. Which is correct? I thought unregister in VS.

When I use the msi I seem to be getting mixed results per supported application (Word, Excel, PPT). For example, the toolbar might work fine in Excel, sort-of works in PowerPoint, and doesn't even appear in the list of Toolbars in Word.

I use 2005.
