We seem to have a problem with 2 of our users and our Outlook plugin. This is only affecting 2 users that I'm aware of but there could be more. It has also only recently started happening.

We have an advanced form that shows at the top of the reading pane above the To, CC & Bcc boxes. This works fine for pretty much everyone, however for 2 people it seems to overlap the To & Cc sections. Please find a screenshot of it here:

And this is what it's suppose to look like: https://ibb.co/vD0gQYQ

This only seems to be an issue in the integrated reply/reading pane. If I pop the message out and hit reply, it displays absolutely fine.

Any help would be really appreciated!

Hello Alex,

What ADXOlFormsCollectionItem.ExplorerLayout property value do you have in that project?

What exact Outlook builds those users have?

Hi Andrei,
The ADXOlFormsCollectionItem.ExplorerLayout property is set to TopReadingPane.

This is the build info from one of the affected users: Version 2402 Build 16.0.17328.20124. I have another user on the same build who doesn't have the same problem.

My build is Version 2403 Build 16.0.17425.20138 which is also working fine.

I suggest that you check whether the issue is caused by some other add-in.

Morning Andrei,
I can confirm that after turning off all addins on both users machines the issue still appeared. However, when creating a brand new user profile on a machine that had the problem, installing the plugin and opening Outlook the problem has now disappeared. There looks to be some sort of user profile specific issue here. I don't suppose you know off hand any addin cache or outlook caches that could potentially be cleared to resolve the issue?

I have just noticed the same issue in our addin and wanted to report.

It is only appears when the inline response is active. Not reproducible nor in inspector neither in the reading mode explorer.

I have a feeling it comes with an Outlook update, because we are using the 9.4 addin-express.

I'm using Microsoft® Outlook® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2403 Build 16.0.17425.20124) 32-bit

Hello Andrey,

I also have the same issue : Discard and Pop buttons are hidden by the addin form, only in inline replies.

It seems to have appeared with one of the lastest MS update. I'm using Microsoft® Outlook® pour Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2403 Build 16.0.17425.20124) 64 bits. It's not reproducible on all PCs at all, even with the same MS version.

On my PC, I can reproduce it with my addin installed and with my non-admin account. But when debugging with VS in administrator, the issue is not reproducible?!?
I don't know if it's usefull to know, but my PC is brand new with a fresh installation.

I have deleted my Outlook profile and recreated it, but it doesn't solve the issue at all as Alex Carter mentionned.

The ADXOlFormsCollectionItem.ExplorerLayout property is also set to TopReadingPane.

Hope it helps...

Best regards,
Sébastien Lange

Hi Andrei,

We are also experiencing the same issue with many of our customers, which is sadly escalating quickly.

It is only reproducible for inline drafts.
The ExplorerLayout for the ADXOlFormsCollectionItem is set to ADXOlExplorerLayout.TopReadingPane

Outlook version appears to not be directly related, since for different versions of Outlook, either some or all users experience this issue.
Outlook versions it has been reproduced by customers include:
Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2402 Build 16.0.17328.20124) 64 Bits
Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2403 Build 16.0.17425.20008) 64 Bits
Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2402 Build 16.0.17328.20068) 64 Bits
Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2403 Build 16.0.17425.20008) 64 Bits

We are using AddinExpress version 10.2.4714.0

Our customer success team has also tried to start outlook with the resetformregions switch
outlook.exe /resetformregions
but it did not help.

I hope this information is enough and it helps. If you need anything else that we can help you with, don't hesitate to ask.

Looking forward to your input and hopefully a workaround or a fix for this issue.

Kind regards,
Frank

Hello,

I can confirm that we are also experiencing this issue and more and more
of our customers are escalating this.
Also, it is happening only in InlineResponse (it doesn't happen in pop out Inspector window).

Kind Regards,
Bojan
