Add-in Express deployment setup projects (msi installer) I have made in Visual Studio 2019 can not be loaded into Visual Studio 2022. I get the message '(incompatible) The application is not installed'.
I have installed Visual Studio 2022 Installer Project Extension.

How can I activate the setup project entry without loosing the GUIDs previously configured. I need the newly updated and recompiled version to behave as an upgrade to existing installations.

I can't reproduce this issue.

Is your setup project a WiX project, maybe?

Select the add-in project in Solution Explorer, click menu Project | Create Setup Project: is the 'Visual Studio Installer' option enabled? If not, reinstall the extension.
