Hi,

Is it possible to hide, if not disable, if not intercept, the Share button on the ribbon?

Word is the application I am interested in.

This is the button that appears to the right of the ribbon tab names, together with a Comments button. These are obviously a relatively new component of the ribbon which I know little about, nor could find much googling.

Hello Tim,

That button doesn't have an IdMso and you can't intercept it using the Ribbon API. I suppose you are required to use UI Automation.

Thanks for the quick response Andrei.

That's very disappointing of Microsoft to be creating loopholes like this. It compromises solutions for highly regulated document flow.
