I have click twice install, it it possible to perform checks ie whether subscription is paid for before install commences or doesn?Â?Ð?ét, depending on whether customer had paid.

Hello SSL,

You should use custom actions that MSI supports. Say, you can use WiX Toolset documentation to create custom forms and custom actions.
