If I develop an Outlook add-in with the product 'Add-in Express for Office and .net', does the produced add-in I published with any privacy risk for my end users? Does it catch any local data and send it to internet secretly?

Hello Mark,

I'm really sorry for the delayed response; I've marked your question as answered by mistake.

Add-in Express consists of several components and most of them never send anything out. The exception is the installer of Add-in Express itself: it contacts the activation server. I assume however that you only talk about the components that work while your add-in is loaded in the host Office application: no component ever sends out any information.

To be 100% sure of this, you can buy Premium which allows you to see the complete code of Add-in Express; Professional allows you to see the code of the components that work while your add-in is loaded.
