Hi,

some tests on the latest office insider channel (Version 1912 Build 12312.20002) resulted in crashes if there are calls to the presentations.open method.

Analysis on our end identified that the issue happens if the addin utilizes the glyph property for ribbon controls to display icons. If no icons or an image list is used there are no crashes.

The crashes can be reproduced if the addin is activated and Application.Presentations.Open("SomeFile") is called using the VBA immediate window.

Analysis of the crash with TTTracer showed that there seems to be an access violation in the getImage_Callback

Could you please take a look.

Hello Fabian,

Today, Office informed me about a new Insider build. I've installed it. It appears to be the previous build (version 1912 build 12307.2000) which doesn't demonstrate the issue.

That is I've reproduced the issue using Build 12312.20002. Then I've installed the new (actually, old) build and the issue is gone.

Could you determine what the cause of the crash is?

So we can contact Microsoft and prevent this change to ever leave the insider build.
