Hi,

I get an error when trying to publish my AddIn as ClickOnce, "Invalid Algorithm Specified".

Any ideas on what could cause this? It appears to be in the step "Updating application manifest".

Hello GJ,

What Visual Studio version are you using?
Does your certificate supports SHA-256?
Please send me the complete error message.
If the error is shown in a dialog window, what is the caption of that window?

Hi Andrei,

Good call about version, I am able publish using VS2017 (I was using 2019).


The error window header is AddinExpress.VSPackage

Hello GJ,

It looks like your certificate doesn't support SHA-256.
