I believe this bug is due to Wix having poor guidance on how to create Daily Builds. Nevertheless, in reading Wix documentation, I believe AddInExpress incorrectly code generates the heat.exe xml by using $(Wix) instead of $(WixToolPath)

That is, you modify the project generated by the WiX Designer? I assume we cannot be responsible for how the project works after that. Do I understand you right?
