Failed to install latest Add-in Express for Office and .NET, Standard

Hi,

I am running Windows 10 and I just downloaded the latest (Add-in Express for Office and .NET, Standard Release 9.2.4635)

When I install it (by clicking setup.exe) i am getting the following error:

Hello Xy,

Try these options: 1) delete all files from the target folder, 2) remove all Add-in Express assemblies from your GAC (if any such assembly exists), 3) turn your antivirus off for a while.

Hi Andrei,

Thanks for the reply. We managed to "uninstall" the previous version of add-in express by doing option (1) and then we were able to install the latest one.

Still, it is bad that in windows 10 we cannot find a way to gracefully uninstall add-in express . In the [Settings] -> [Apps & features] there is no Add-in Express that we can uninstall, even after we installed the latest one.

Hello Xy,

It looks like you install and uninstall the product using different user accounts. Can this be the case?
