Commandbar only shows up once in Word

I have a Word project, but the commandbar only shows up once in Word. The first time I start Word everything works fine, but after I close and restart Word the commandbar has disappeared. (btw I do have Adobe Acrobat installed, I saw this was a question in an older topic, unfortunately I could not reply in that topic.)

If the property "temporary" is set to true, it stays, but then the toolbarposition is not saved which is quite annoying. Is there a workaround to solve this? (other than removing Acrobat :))

Grtx,
Jeroen

Hi Jeroen.

Do you do any manipulations with the Normal.dot template in the add-in code?

Hi Sergey,

No, not at all. I created a very simple add-in, just a button with a MessageBox for testing. For now I have removed all add-ins from Acrobat, and everything works like it should. Funny thing is that with the Acrobat add-ins, Excel works like expected, only Word shows the button only once. I had this problem on two different computers. Both running XPSP2, Office 2003 and have Acrobat installed.

For now it's not a real issue, removing the Acrobat add-ins solved my problem, didn't use them anyway. (Acrobat itself is still installed) If it takes too much of your time I would forget it if I were you. But if off course I'm interested should you have an easy solution.

Thx for your answer,
Jeroen

Jeroen, I am afraid it can't be fixed using ADX.
This is a known issue. Please read the following article:

I was experiencing the same problem and came across some sites that address workarounds for this bug 906899.

http://www.wfu.edu/~yipcw/atg/pdf/acrobat7word2003.html
http://www.gmayor.com/lose_that_adobe_acrobat_toolbar.htm

Also try googling "906899 adobe" and you might find other useful info.
