Hi,

when I start a .doc than my taskpane is showing. When I start a .wml file than the taskpane is not showing.
I use the the addinexpress version 7.7.4087 and word 2003. What must I do, that the taskpane is show when I open a .wml.

Hello Rosemarie,

That file extension is missing in the Open and SaveAs dialogs of Word 2003 and 2016. Are you sure that it is Word that opens it? If so, could you please send us a sample .WML? You can send it to the support email address; find it in {Add-in Express installation folder}\readme.txt; please make sure your email contains a link to this topic.

Hello Rosemarie,

Thank you. On my test machines, the file cannot be opened: there's no program associated with that file extension. What program is associated with .WML on your machine?

I open the .wml with Word 2003.

Are you saying you start Word, and use File | Open to open that file?

If not and if you double-click it to open the document, please check what program is associated with the .WML file extension on your machine.

I associated wml.file with word. I double-click the wml.document word 2003 is starting. No taskpane is showing.

Hello Rosemarie,

I've associated .WML with Word 2003 11.5604.3606 and I see my pane shown in the window displaying that document. I've used 9.2.4635.0; check the Version property on AddinExpress.MSO.2005 and AddinExpress.WD.2005 references in your add-in project. I've tested these scenarios:
- Word isn't started, I double-click the .DOC file - the pane shows up
- Word isn't started, I double-click the .WML file - the pane shows up
- Word is started, Document1 is opened - the pane is shown; I double-click the .WML file - the pane shows up
- Word is started, I double-click the .DOC file - the pane shows up; I double-click the .WML file - the pane shows up

I've installed SP3. Now I have Word 2003 11.8169.8172 SP3. The pane shows up in the scenarios above.
