This is regarding one of the issue Cu is facing when we install Cisco View Mail Add-In which is based on Add-In Express Framework . Details for the issue along with environment is mentioned below

Environment

1) Outlook 2016
2) Exchange with cache mode enabled with offline mail settings kept to 3 Days
3) Cisco View Mail Add-In (That uses Add-In Express Version 8.1)

Issue : "Click here to view more on Microsoft Exchange" hyperlink is missing in Outlook with Add-In express based Add-In installed

Description :

Ideal Scenario

When any user configures Outlook with above configuration <Mentioned in Environment Section above> , he should get only 3 days mail visible in Outlook mail window and for rest there should be hyperlink saying that "Click here to view more on Microsoft Exchange" and when any user clicks that we should be able to get all messages available on exchange server

Issue On Customer Setup

On Customer Setup, with same above scenario , we are not getting any hyperlink to view more messages , only item we get is greyed out text "Connect to server to view the items"

If we disable the Add-In Express add-in then we are not seeing any issues and we get hyperlink available successfully [B]Click here to view more on Microsoft Exchange an we are able to view all messages

Analysis

We have analyzed all logs but no issues at application level and curious if Add-in express framework is causing any issues as it interacts with Outlook directly and controls outlook properties

We have reproduced this issue in our lab also and waiting for you guys to have a look at it

I am available between 10AM - 8PM IST

Thanks

Hello Dhruv,

The name of the add-in suggests that it deals with Outlook views. That is, the issue may belong to the add-in, not to Add-in Express. To check this, you can create a new empty add-in project and check if the issue is reproducible.

Dhruv,

I assume that you are a developer that has Add-in Express installed. If so, please refer to the manual; see the PDF file in the folder {Add-in Express}\Docs on your development PC.
