Hi,

I have created an Excel Add-In with ADX 2.7 and the ADXLoader.
I built the setup application as is and installed it on a machine with windows XP, Office 2003 and .NET framework 2.0 (which I installed separately). The installation didn't report about an error but the add-in doesn't load.
When un-check and re-check the Add-In check box in the COM Add-Ins dialog I get and error: "Not loaded. A run time error occured during the loadind of the COM add-in".

Installing the same Add-In on a machine with Visual Studio went smoothly.

Please advise,

Hi Keren.

Did you include the 'Shared Add-in Support Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0' prerequisite to the add-in setup project?

Hi Sergey,

I added the 'Shared Add-in Support Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0' but it still doesn't work. The add-in is not loaded.

Hi Keren.

Do you run the .msi file or setup.exe file when you install the add-in?

Hi Sergey,

I run setup.exe.
One of the machines I installed it on was with XP sp1 (and not sp2) could that be related?
The second machine (actually VMWare) was with XP sp2 but office 2003 with no service packs. Could that be related?

Hi Keren.

Could you please update your PCs?
You do need Windows XP SP2, Office 2003 SP2 with the 'Shared Add-in Support Update' installed.
