Hello,
I have a task pane in office. I have discovered that the following scenario causes strange behavior:

1. Open a protected view doc file.
2. Open a regular file (can be new) while the previous file is open.
3. Close the protected view file.
4. Reopen the file
At this point, the content on the original file cannot be seen until you enable editing or change the view settings in word. I couldn't reproduce this issue with my PowerPoint and Excel task panes.
Additionally, it doesn't happen if when i reopen the file it doesn't show the task pane.

Any ideas what could cause this?

I will try to reproduce the issue. Please let me know what versions of Add-in Express and Microsoft Word you use and what type of task panes is used in your solution. Thank you.

Hi Igor,

Thank you. What type of task panes do you use in your solution? Do you use the ADXWordTaskPanesManager component or TaskPanes property of your add-in module to add a task pane to Word?

Sorry for the late reply,

We use ADXWordTaskPanesManager with a ADXWordTaskPanesCollectionItem added to it, and call ADXWordTaskPanesCollectionItem.CurrentTaskPaneInstance to get the task pane itself

Thank you for the details. I have just reproduced this issue in Word 2013 and tracked it under case #7512 in our Bug Tracking System. I hope we will be able to fix it in the next few weeks.
