Hi

I am all of a sudden getting this error : Sorry we couldn't find adxloader64.projectname.dll Is it possible it is moved, renamed or deleted. Here is the image link :

Thanks,
Attiqe

P.S: I am not getting this error on MS Excel 2013 but on MS Excel 2010 it works perfectly fine.

Hello Attiqe,

This occurs for me if I register an XLL add-in defining a user-defined function, close Excel, delete the adxloader.*.dll and adxloader64.*.dll and then start Excel. I expect that the same applies to an Excel Automation add-in as well.

The path specified in the message is taken from the registry key described in section "Locating Excel UDF add-ins in the registry" at http://www.add-in-express.com/docs/net-deploying-addins.php.

Hi Andrei,

It's not generating any adxloader.*.dll and adxloader64.*.dll, that is the reason.

Are you saying that registering the project - the project includes an XLL module - in the Visual Studio IDE produces adxloader.dll and adxloader64.dll in the project's output folder and this doesn't produce adxloader.{project}.dll and adxloader64.{project}.dll in that folder?

Yes that's what is happening.

Add a new XLL module to the project. This will create adxloader.{project}.dll and adxloader64.{project}.dll files. Then delete the new XLL module.

Yep that solved my problem. But my previous Test UDF still are shown even though are no longer in it.

Try to re-register your add-in. Also check if you deploy the correct version of the add-in.
