I've created an AdxCommandBar for Outlook 2003.

When I add an AdxCommandBarButton to the AdxCommandBar, the TooltipText property is exposed and works as expected.

If I add an AdxCommandBarButton to an AdxCommandBarPopup, the TooltipText property is still exposed but does not seem to work.

Is this just the way things are?

Hello Kevin,

Tooltips do not work for context menu items. I believe this is part of UI design principles. Also, to my knowledge, command bars do not work in Outlook 2013.
