New Office 2007 features?

I'm wondering if there have been any decisions made as to when ADX.NET will support some of the new Office 2007-specific features. In particular I'm interested in the new Ribbon control, which replaces the old CommandBar stuff. I see that as one of the most complicated changes us add-in authors are going to have to deal with.

If others have started messing with this outside of the ADX.NET environment, I'd be interested in seeing any sample source that might be floating around. So far what I've seen from MS sources has been less than useful. :-(

Good, thanks. My next version will need to be in beta by then, so I'll probably end up rolling my own 2007 support. But from what I've read so far it won't be all that difficult to retrofit the minimal stuff I need.

On the roadmap page I see reference to ADX.NET for VSTO. I look forward to being able to read more about that too. Sounds intriguing.

Brad,

ADX for VSTO just adds the add-in module to a VSTO 2005 project. So, you will have all features of Add-in Express in your VSTO project. That's all :-)

I will capture a flash-video next week to give our customers mode detailed information about ADX for VSTO. It will be released in June after ADX.NET 2.5.

Can you add me to the list of beta testers for 2007? Or if this is publically annouced I will keep my eyes open. I already have anxious customers running the 2007 Beta 2... and my addin does not appears for them :(

Will you also offer this for use .NET 1.1 users? VS2005 is good for small projects but us with 12+ project solutions are still using VS2003 until performance issues are resolved.

regards,
Dave

Hi Dave.

The 'ADX.NET for VSTO' product supports .NET Framework 2.0 and later.
If you mean the 'ADX.NET' product, a new version will be released soon and it will support Office 2007 and work under .NET v1.1 and v2.0.
