Install licensed WiX Designer over trial version

Hi, I've downloaded the WiX Designer test version from visual studio gallery (https://visualstudiogallery.msdn.microsoft.com/daee5804-806a-479b-8c20-5ba620264b93) to evaluate it. We then bought the standard version and I installed and thought it would be as simple as that.

However, in Visual Studio it still says that I am using the test version. I have de- and reinstalled the WiX toolset and the WiX Designer (Standard & trial).

I don't get that even when I have deinstalled the WiX Designer, I still see the icons for File System Editor etc. and that when I click them, the popup appears "You are using a 7-day trial version of Designer for Visual Studio WiX."

What am I missing?

Hello Dirk,

I believe the trial version is still installed in your Visual Studio, please check Tools | Extension Manager in the IDE.
